Traditional wooden mixing bowl used for making sushi rice. Mix steamed hot rice and vinegar in this vessel and fan to cool. The wood will absorb excess moisture from the cooked rice and the large open surface will allow the rice to cool quickly. After use, wash in warm soapy water, rinse well then air dry.
Handmade with genuine copper bands. Wood is from Japanese cypress or cedar trees.
